How to pull FACTS invoices for Step Up

What official FACTS help actually says, what the FES-UA handbook requires on the statement, and when to ask the school bookkeeper instead. No invented click-paths. Last verified: August 18, 2026.

What this is / who it is for

Many Florida private schools put tuition on FACTS, a Nelnet billing system. Step Up then wants a statement that looks like an invoice. This playbook ties those two systems together.

It does not invent a click-path that FACTS has not published. Use this with the Step Up / FES-UA reimbursement pack. No child’s real data appears here. Use placeholders such as [Student name], [School], and [Date].

What FACTS parent help actually says

You may check balances, tuition and fees paid, print reports, and view scheduled payments by logging in at online.factsmgt.com, or by calling 866-441-4637. If you use an invoice payment plan, log in, open the Actions dropdown, and choose Mail In Payment to view and print the latest invoice.

What the FES-UA handbook wants on a FACTS-style statement

The billing statement should include the school’s name and address, the scholarship student’s first and last name as listed in EMA, a description of each payment to be reimbursed, the amount of each transaction, and the date of full payment (MM/DD/YY). If the system groups students by family, submit a school invoice instead.

What official FACTS help stops at

FACTS SIS / Family Portal (formerly RenWeb) is a different product. FACTS tells parents: if you have a question about using FACTS SIS, contact your school directly. Login needs the school’s District Code, which the school provides.

Official parent help does not publish a Step Up export, a “reimbursement packet” button, or a field list that matches Florida’s handbook.

UNVERIFIED menu steps. Some schools hand out flyers that say: sign in at online.factsmgt.com, choose View Details, then View Payment Summary, then pick a year and Print. Those flyers are school reprints, not a FACTS corporate help article we can treat as current for every school. Any step deeper than “log in, print reports, or Actions → Mail In Payment” is UNVERIFIED unless your school or FACTS Customer Care confirms it for your account. If the official help does not name the button you need, ask the school bookkeeper to export a statement that includes the handbook fields.

Ask the bookkeeper for these lines

  • A statement or invoice for [Student name] only, not the whole family rollup.
  • School name and address.
  • Each tuition or fee line you will claim, with amount and date of full payment.
  • A paid-in-full mark, a zero balance, or the payment amount next to the invoice amount.

Leave off lunch and after-care. If you are claiming the annual FACTS billing-service fee, that fee needs its own line. The student’s name must match Step Up records. Nicknames are not accepted.

Email you can send the bookkeeper

Subject: Invoice for Step Up reimbursement, [Student name], [School year]

Hello [Bookkeeper name],

I am requesting a tuition statement or invoice for [Student name] for [Date range or term] that I can upload to Step Up For Students (FES-UA).

Step Up’s parent handbook asks a FACTS-style billing statement to include:

- School name and address
- Student’s first and last name as on the scholarship account
- Description of each payment (tuition, registration, book fees)
- Amount of each transaction
- Date of full payment

Please do not combine [Student name] with a sibling on one family total if you can help it. If FACTS cannot split the family account, a school invoice on letterhead with the same fields is fine.

Thank you,

[Name, phone, email]

What this is not

  • It is not a FACTS user manual. FACTS SIS questions go to the school. Payment-plan questions can go to 866-441-4637.
  • It is not a promise that a Payment Summary will be accepted. Step Up reviews the file against the handbook.

Common questions

I only see a family balance.

The handbook says you can submit a school invoice when the tuition system does not show spending per student. Ask the bookkeeper.

Do I need a click-by-click from FACTS?

Official parent help tells you to log in and print reports, and names Actions → Mail In Payment for invoice plans. Deeper menus are UNVERIFIED. Ask the school.
