Free forever

When a site gives advice about your child and your money, you deserve to know how it pays its own bills. Here is exactly how, with the promises that come attached.

How the free site stays free

Everything you can read here today, the playbooks, the state guides, the honest answers, stays free forever. No account, no paywall, no "unlock the rest." The running costs are small, and we carry them ourselves.

Later, an optional paid product will fund the whole thing: the Roadmap app, a guided week-by-week planner that turns these pages into a personal plan for your family. Families who want that extra hand pay for it. Nobody needs it to use every page on this site, and the free pages will never be thinned out to sell it.

The never list

  • Never ads. And never, ever ads on crisis pages.
  • Never selling or sharing family data. Not to anyone, not ever.
  • Never an account wall in front of information.
  • Never sponsored recommendations. If a provider or program is on this site, it is because the facts put it there.

If the money ever changes how we behave, call us on it.

The scholarship promise

When the paid Roadmap exists, any family who cannot pay for it asks, and gets it free. No proof games. No forms about your income. No explaining yourself. You ask, you get it.

We have been the family doing the math at the kitchen table. The price of an app will never be the thing that stands between a child and a plan.
